The Legal Practitioners Qualifying Examination Course is a one year programme. Students who successfully complete this course of study are recommended for admission to the Zambian Bar.
Persons wishing to be enrolled on the Legal Practitioners Qualifying Course should possess the following minimum academic qualifications:
- At least five(5) O’ Level credits or equivalent; and,
- Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a public or private university established or registered under the Higher Education Act or a degree in law obtained from a university outside Zambia in a country operating the common law system approved by the Council of the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education and whose degree in law is recognized by a university accredited under the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education Act as academically equivalent to a degree of that accredited university.
