Legal Practitioners' Qualifying Exam (LPQE)

To practice law in Zambia, you need to successfully complete this course.  The programme is one year long and after passing your exams you are admitted to the Bar.

  • Book-keeping and Accounts
    Conveyance and Legal Drafting
    Probate and Succession
    Commercial Transactions
    • Company Law and Procedure
    • High Court Civil Procedure
    • Subordinate Court Civil Procedure
    • Domestic Relations
    • Criminal Procedure
    • Law of Evidence and Practice
     
    The course staff includes judges and senior lawyers.
     
     
    Course pre-requisites

    To apply for this course, you need to have a degree in Law from a recognised university or institution. 
     
    If your Law degree is from outside Zambia, we'll help you determine if you have covered all relevant subject areas. If not, you may have to sit additional courses first.
